Apartment in Maloja, Switzerland. An apartment in which all floors, as well as both fixed and freestanding furnishings, were made from solid reclaimed larch boards, salvaged from the demolition of a barn (maso) in the province of Bolzano. All the wood was carefully treated and sanitized prior to use. The distinctive chromatic uniformity of the larch lends this project remarkable strength and a strong, characterful identity.
